Supported Operating Systems

• The installation of Inspection Manager in any non-Microsoft Windows environment is not supported (examples: Macintosh, Linux, iOS, or emulators, etc.).

• Application Server and Web Server must be installed on the same computer.

• Microsoft Terminal Server and Remote Desktop Services “RDS” environments are strictly not supported.

Microsoft SQL Server Requirements

• Our software comes with a bundled copy of SQL Express 2017, which is a reliable and efficient database solution perfectly suited for most of our customers. It provides robust performance, and all the essential features needed to run our application smoothly.

• For businesses with higher data volumes or advanced requirements, we recommend considering a full SQL Server license to take advantage of additional scalability and enterprise-level capabilities. Some Enterprise/larger organizations may have available SQL DB licenses, and may consider starting day one with a purchased copy of SQL.

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2014 and newer releases are supported but must be pre-installed and manually configured. 

  • A purchased copy of a supported version of Microsoft SQL Server instance may be installed on APP Server or external host.

Permission Requirements and System Guidelines

• Installation of Inspection Manager with Microsoft SQL Server on machines hosting either a Domain Controller or Terminal Server is not supported. • Please ensure that all Windows System Updates are installed and there is no pending reboot.

• The installation must be performed whilst logged in as a Local Administrator.

Integrated Intel GPUs may suffice, however, overall application performance will be significantly degraded.

Data Collection Requirements

For workstations and tablets running data collection applications (IM Explorer, IM Express, IM SPC).   

Supported Web Browsers

Most modern web browsers are supported, please ensure that they are fully up-to-date.

Operating System Considerations:

• Microsoft Windows-based workstations and tablets must be domain joined.

• Android and iOS-based tablets will require custom IP bindings set through Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

• Microsoft Terminal Server, Remote Desktop Services “RDS”, Citrix, and Thin client environments are strictly not supported.

Network Performance

Listed speeds are specific to connectivity between client device(s) and host server environment.  

If the host server environment is configured as Cloud or Hybrid-Cloud (AWS, Azure), there will be additional performance considerations.
