HQA Connect - Supported ERP Systems

Overview

This article is a list of 3rd party ERP systems supported by the "HQA Connect" Platform. Please reach out to your High QA account manager if your system is not on this list and you would like to connect it.

Capability Definitions

This section explains the capabilities highlighted in the above table.

Importing to High QA Software

• Jobs - Import ERP manufacturing jobs or work orders as High QA production jobs.

• Master Jobs - Import part/rev/routing pairs as High QA master jobs. Master jobs are templates which production jobs are cloned from.

• Routings - Import ERP template operations as High QA master job template operations.

• Direct Job Ops - Import ERP job or work order operations directly into a High QA production job.

• Receiving Inspection (Jobs) - Import ERP receiving inspection transactions as High QA production jobs.

• Mfg. Lots - Import ERP manufacturing lots as High QA lots. One High QA job may have many lots. Note that these are manufacturing lots, not inventory lots. Your ERP system may have inventory lots, but may not have WIP manufacturing lots.

• Sample Generation - Generate samples in High QA based on job/lot quantities and the configuration of the associated master job.

• Serial Number Import - Import ERP serial numbers to High QA’s inspection samples. This allows High QA software to be preloaded with ERP generated serial numbers that will follow your parts throughout inspection.

• Conditional FAI - Conditionally create FAI samples in High QA based on data in ERP. Typically, this is done by analyzing the production job operations and looking for an FAI or PPAP operation.

• Drawings - Import drawings and models directly to High QA software. This typically occurs during master job creation.

• Custom Field Mapping - Customize the source fields in ERP that are mapped to High QA.

Exporting To ERP

• Characteristics - Export inspection characteristics to ERP. Most ERP systems to not have the capability to receive these characteristics. Commonly seen in Enterprise systems like SAP.

• Results - Export characteristic level inspection results to ERP. Similar to characteristics export, most systems do not have this capability.

• Additional Exports - Additional exports, such as NCRs, are often possible in ERP systems with an available API. Generally, exporting to ERP involves some associated services work.

M2P vs M2M Architectures

Above we reference the Middleware to Middleware architecture used for SAP (Clean Core). All other connectors are Middleware to Point (M2P). This means that High QA’s dedicated HQA Connect middleware facilitates data transfers between High QA software and your ERP system. Please see the below diagram which shows how our standard M2P and enterprise M2M connectors work. If you are an enterprise customer that prefers or requires the M2M architecture, please let your account manager know. High QA can work with your IT/ERP teams to create a project proposal and related statement of work.
